Corporate Sponsorship
In the business environment of fewer and fewer allowable
deductions, lower limits, more restrictions; contribution of money,
equipment and supplies to a 501(c)3 non-profit youth education
program like the Sumner County Young Marines can provide your
business a much needed tax deduction and the additional satisfaction
of supporting an organization that promotes the mental, morale,
physical and
drug-free development of America's Youth.
In a society where there is much unrest, drug abuse, discontent and
disdain for authority, the Sumner County Young Marines provides an
alternative for our youth. The Young Marines seeks to instill a
sense of pride in our Youth--beginning with themselves, their
community and ultimately to their country.
The Young Marine Program provides the opportunity to develop self-discipline and motivation
by exposing our youth to positive adult role models, instruction and
guidance. The advocacy of a drug-free lifestyle is particularly
important given the pervasiveness of the drug threat to our children
today, and the resultant violence and moral corruption that drugs
lead to by their nature.
Contributions-in-Kind
This program can be used at any level of the program: the
community, state, region, or national level. Donations from
a sporting goods store could donate camping equipment. If your
office is upgrading computer equipment, you may donate the equipment
to the Sumner County Young Marines. An office supply store could
donate copying services or copy paper. A service station
could offer the use of its parking area, water and supplies for a
car wash.
At the Unit level, the Young Marines are always seeking sponsors to
donate specialized outdoor gear, food services for encampments,
travel services for the unit and/or individual Young Marines to
attend Summer Programs of Adventures, Challenges, Encampment and
Schools.
